PE Rain Coat

PE raincoat refers to a raincoat made of PE (polyethylene) material.

Strong Waterproofness
The polyethylene used in PE raincoat is a non-polar plastic with tightly arranged molecules. Unlike fabrics, it does not have gaps and is not easy for water molecules to penetrate. Therefore, our raincoat will not leak water under a water pressure of 15,000mm. In contrast, ordinary raincoats will start to leak water under a water pressure of 3,000-5,000mm.

Lightweight
The density of PE raincoat is only 0.91-0.96 g/cm³, which is lighter than most plastics and fabrics. A standard-sized PE raincoat usually weighs between 150-300 grams, which is 30%-50% lighter than similar nylon or PVC raincoats. This lightness makes the wearer feel no burden when using it for a long time.

Good Breathability
The surface of PE raincoat is covered with micropores with a diameter of about 0.1-0.3 microns. These pores are so small that water droplets are not allowed to pass through, but water vapor molecules can be discharged smoothly. In a 30-minute strenuous exercise test, the body humidity of the testers wearing our PE raincoat increased by only 12%, while the body humidity of the testers wearing ordinary raincoats increased by 31%.

Anti-UV
We added UV stabilizers to our PE raincoat. Therefore, the UV protection factor (UPF) of the raincoat is as high as 50+, which can block more than 98% of harmful UV rays. After 500 hours of accelerated UV aging test (equivalent to 2 years of normal outdoor use), the tensile strength of the PE raincoat only decreased by 5%, which is much better than the 20-30% decrease of ordinary raincoats.
